'Manky' Nirvana Photo Album

OK, so this is a strangely named topic, but for those who know me they know what this is all about. I'll start at the beginning....

A long long time ago, in a country far far away.....I was given a cuddly toy as a present. Being in love as I was, I named that cuddly toy Nirvana, meaning heaven (yeah, I know I'm a soppy sadcase). Nirvana was a cute, and more importantly fluffy leopard - or at least that was the case for maybe two months, after which time the fluff was gone and Nirvana now looked like a childhood toy. He looked ancient, the spots were barely visible, and the nickname 'Manky' was quickly adopted.

For quite a few years, I took Manky everywhere I went, I guess as a reminder of my now ex-girlfriend. Holidays in Brighton, Devon, Cornwall, even to other countries. It was during these travels that someone (who history doesn't record) decided to steal Manky for amusement - and the rest is history. It became a mission for quite a few friends to take Manky wherever they could, preferably without my knowledge. By the time Manky reached the age of four a good percentage of England had been covered including Devon, Cornwall, Gloucester, Bristol, Manchester, Brighton, and many others. But this national coverage was not enough.

Majorca followed as the first international cat-napping, by Jane and Lucy. Manky was subject to an extra week in sunny Majorca, and to who knows what tortures. Certainly photographic evidence has been found of forced Mills and Boon readings - one hesitates to think of anything worse. In the next few years Manky journeyed to Ibiza in Spain (where it's rumoured he had an affair with Rachel), plus Cyprus, and shortly afterwards the crowning glory - Australia. Yet again the culprit was Jane, who managed to catnap Manky to the other side of the world, although he escaped with Laura just one month later.

So this was my dilemma - take Manky with me travelling, or risk leaving him 'safely' at home? Well, there were still countries unvisited......

As of 20th March, 2000, this photo gallery is incomplete as most of the photo evidence is safely stored at my home in England. As soon as this evidence is approved the incriminating photos will be posted - and names will be named! Those responsible will be held to account....
